The Total Electrical Sounding (TES) technology is the analog of multi-electrodic
sounding technology used now all over the world (Electrical Imaging, Electrical
Resistivity Tomography, etc.). In MSU this technology appeared in 1991.
The main idea of development this new modification consists in canceling
VES data distortions, caused by near surface inhomogeneities
(NSI). The essence of our approach is the recognition of geological
noise as the constant constituent of any medium under investigation
and canceling it from field VES data before interpretation. TES
modification consists of the four interconnected technologies: field measurements,
data processing, visualization and interpretation. It takes into account
the base geoelectrical model.
